Highlighting a product means revealing its essence.
In this video shot in a studio in Rennes, the goal was simple: to showcase The Botanist gin bottle by playing with reflections, materials, and the details of its design.

No excessive staging in this high-end product video. Just the essentials:

  • Low-angle lighting to highlight the glass engraving,
  • A contemplative but impactful rhythm.
  • Precise focal length choices to vary the product’s viewing angles.

Cinematography: Sony A7SIII and lenses dedicated to product capture.

The entire shoot was filmed using a Sony A7SIII and three complementary lenses suitable for commercial video:

  • 24 mm – for space and ambient reflections.
  • 50 mm – to capture the density of the glass and liquid.
  • 100 mm macro – to reveal the engraved typography and texture of the cap.

Each shot is designed to showcase the product, halfway between the worlds of luxury and craftsmanship. The video editing, fluid and calibrated for social media, relies on slow cuts and smooth transitions, in line with the brand’s DNA.
