Educational Animation – Teaching through Motion Design.

From Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany), I came up with this educational animation to introduce my YouTube tutorials. The goal: to grab attention in a matter of seconds, establish a clear visual framework, and improve content retention.

It serves as both a graphic signature and a teaching tool, opening or closing educational videos.

Inspired by Disney’s 12 Principles of Animation.

Each movement follows the twelve foundational principles of animation defined by Disney: squash & stretch, anticipation, follow through, timing, exaggeration…

This approach ensures a result that’s fluid, expressive, and easy to understand — ideal for educational contexts.

Pedagogical expertise behind the animation.

In addition to my work as a freelance motion designer, I am:

a trainer on Tuto.com (+3,000 students) → profile here
a teacher at a digital design school (motion design, 2D/3D animation, After Effects)

My expertise allows me to adapt each piece of content to today’s educational standards: pace, accessibility, short formats, mobile-first.

Techniques and tools used.

Software: After Effects, Illustrator
Style: Vector animation, geometric design
Duration: 2 seconds
Inspiration: Disney.
